GLADWYNE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1999--IsraelArtTours.com, a unique new venture recently launched by Artcnet.com, has arranged special tours in Israel for the year 2000 which allow collectors, art lovers and travelers to meet the artists at their homes or studios, and even to have dinner with the artists in their homes.
According to Phyllis Zemble, President of ARTcnet.com, the work of the Israeli artists and artisans who are included on the Israel Art Tours is available for preview at ARTcnet.com, a virtual gallery of international fine art, located at http://www.ARTcnet.com. Art collectors can use this gallery on the web to read resumes and personal statements by the artists.
Collectors, art lovers and travelers can then plan to visit the artists in their homes and studios to discuss their artwork and their perspectives on art during three specialized art tours to Israel in the year 2000.
The tours, which are being booked by Rosenbluth International, will be conducted from May 14 to May 26, May 28 to June 8, and Nov 5 to Nov 17.
The tour includes visits to the riches of Israel, from Zefat in the north to Hebron in the south, from the cities to the moshavs, and from studios and collectives of artists of the culturally and politically conservative, to the studios of the politically liberal and the apolitical.
Artists represented on the tour include Jan Menses, Yoram Ra'anan, Frank Meisler, Nili Kook, Dorit Levi-nstein, Yitshak Greenfield, Yaacov Kaszemacher, Elyah Succot, Boruch Nachson, Lana Rubinstein, Yitszhak ben Yehuda and others. ARTcnet.com exhibits paintings, sculpture, crafts, Judaica, photography, limited edition prints and furniture. Each of the award-winning artists at ARTcnet.com has a virtual studio showing a body of work, each artwork having enlargements and details.
