| I have been a
weaver for over 28 years. I came to the craft out of college, a student of philosophy in
the 60's. My purpose was to "appropriate my own product" and reserve the right
to have control over the fruits of my own labor. Immediately upon beginning to weave the
idealism was replaced by a love and satisfaction for the process of weaving. This is the
way it has been ever since. It has always been an artistic expression. Even though I have
of late mostly worked in the craft end. There is a side to weaving dealing with textile
structure and analysis that also fascinates me. In fact, the complex weaves have become
somewhat of a hobby when I am not weaving, and this in turn has influenced my work
tremendously. My relationship to weaving is to use the loom as a design tool. I love to
design, develop and produce a piece of art, whether cloth or tapestry, and then make a
product of it. |

All of the Tallitot are hand woven 100% wool adorned by either hand-woven
Damascus Silk or hand-woven wool, with corner squares and bag available to match. The Tallitot
below are a few of the styles which I have created over the years for a certain fashion
'look'. Regardless of which type of synagogue one attends, I have found that people have a
'look' that best fits them. |
| Each
tallit comes with keter in either silk or wool with matching corners. Matching
bag is available. The tallitot are backed with 100 % cotton unless stipulated
not. The tsitsit are good quality large tsitsit tied by a Rabbi in Eretz
Israel. All tallitot can be custom designed in color, size and order of stripes. Our
expertise in translating the customers individual request has met with approval 100% of
the time. |

realize how special a garment it is.

Parochet (Ark Curtain) The size of this
parochet is 2 meters x 1 1/2 meters, or 6 1/2' x 5'. It costs $10,000.00
This parochet is made of silk ribbons gold and silver thread. It is done in a warp rep
twill, with a computer aided hand loom. It is entirely hand woven. The design inspiration
was from an old traditional parochet The lions were stylized and the crown was taken from
a wooden ark crown at King David's tomb, Har Zion, Jerusalem. The Hebrew letters of course
symbolize the ten commandments. This would be a special gift for your synagogue!

Tallitot The center tallit is the traditional Orthodox Chassidic type
with heavy black stripes. This tallit is usually done in vivid black, has the white cotton
backing and is adorned in Damascus Silk, either white on white stripes, paisley or black
and white silk stripes.
The first and third tallitot are in the modern
Orthodox style with thinner stripes but many more designs within the same tallit.
For instance, lines with black (or any color chosen) and white checks, gray tones done
with black thread using the white weave, bleached white stripes. This tallit is strictly
beautiful to look at with its intricacy of design. It can come with wool or silk
adornments; however, the silk is usually preferred for elegance.

C (on the right). Be sure to review the size that you will need from
the chart above and whether you want hand spun yarn. [ORDER] |

Tallit D, Fibonacci (California) The California
tallit came from the Fibonacci Series described below. I use three different colors
combined with silver thread in one motif. This motif alternates with small black stripes
so that it almost has a Mideastern look. Truly this tallit with primary colors instead of
the muted pastels that I use would surely be called the Mideastern tallit. It is
strikingly beautiful and seems to be everyone's favorite. There will be an extra
expense of $150 for any of the Fibonacci Series tallitot.

Tallit H, Fibonacci "Designer Tallit" Fibonacci was a mathematician whose formulae have been used
extensively by textile artists. His formula for the placement of stripes is very pleasing,
the resulting tallit reminiscent of waves, clouds, etc. This tallit is done in 3 or 4 hues
of one color, usually blues. It has hand woven adornment complementing the tallit design.
This tallit is best described as "The Designer Tallit". It has a feeling and
look of fine Italian wool, and subtleties that express fine taste. Whether in blues,
browns, grays or bordeaux, this tallit is elegance. There is an extra expense of
$150 for the Fibonacci Series tallitot.
