| There is nothing as personally pleasing as having jewelry designed
for your taste, body and pocketbook. I am going to lead you through the process that
we followed in designing a necklace for Angela's surprise 33rd wedding anniversary
gift. The gift was given to her by her husband, Richard, who also had his 60th birthday
party and the anniversary of his Bar Mitzvah in London! |
| 1. Choose the jewelry type that
you want - necklace, earrings, bracelet, ring, pin or pendant. |
2. Talk to Phyllis
either by email at phyllis@artcnet.com or telephone at US toll-free 877.949.9488 |
3. Phyllis and Prawal will make
drawings and discuss ideas for your selected jewelry. If you have an idea
with your own drawing, you may show it to us. Richard
decided on a necklace.
These are rough sketches of a necklace for Angela.
|
| 4. Prawal will then make some professional jewelry designs
using your ideas. Here are some styles that Prawal put together for Angel and
Richard. |

Design B |
Design C |
| 5. Your input: Richard said that he like design B
but he wanted amethysts. Prawal then prepared the design to the right (Design D)
with the intention of replacing the emeralds on the side with amethysts as well as using
the 10K center dark amethyst stone and 47 diamonds. Prawal ended up using white
cream diamonds and 16K and 18K gold. |

A quote from Richard's thank-you note: "Angela was just
thrilled...I told everyone (over 100 present) about the wonderful help and support you
have been - about how Angela always knows what I am doing and especially what I am
spending, hence the need for so much subterfuge, including my Mum and about how I had
obtained the Frank Meisler plaque [earlier] from you. After the speeches, everyone came
over to our table to admire the necklace and you just will not believe it when I tell you
Angela had chosen an outfit that was just perfect for the amethysts. And the length of the
gold band and chain was just right too.
"This morning (Monday), Angela put it on again just for me to photograph for you...So
Phyllis, thanks again - it all worked out so well.
With very warm regards, from the barmitzvah "boy"
Richard" |
