Naum
Knop surprises all...And the stage which now astonishes us is drawing. Those who are
well informed of this artist's work realize that this is the completion of valuable past
experience...All this [experience] answers to a very expressive ornamental and geometric
pattern. Although they remind one of Durero, Knop's drawings stand out of the
fabric. The shapes rise up...or towards unattainable spheres as in search of
passion. They move on the level but yearn the mass. They apprehend contrast, feeling
and freedom. And success in transforming the confused inner self to gratifying
pleasure.
