When, some years later, the Vancouver Jewish Community Center held a fund-raiser with the local premiere of the film Chorus Line,' local artists shared the event with artworks of the theme. I couldn't get excited about ladies in tights, so I made my version of the chorus line instead." [Add to Cart] [View Cart] |

I was working on a sculpture of Elijah the Prophet being fed by ravens in the wilderness when I became enchanted by the ravens and decided to sculpt them on their own. The original sculpture of Elijah had ravens that were about an inch long, so I could not add much detail. Ravens are important to many cultures, including Norse myths and North American native stories. They are remarkably wily and intelligent birds and have a large repertoire of sounds. David and his men were sheltering in the cave at Ein Gedi. When Saul [who was pursuing
David with murder in mind] and Saul's soldiers arrived at the cave, David and company
retreated into the inner recesses of the cave. Saul slept. To show that he had no evil
intentions toward Saul, David cut off a piece of Saul's robe when he could have just as
easily cut his throat. Saul was not impressed and continued to pursue David. |
