Without jewelry a woman is undressed. A face is like a picture that is unframed: jewelry is the right frame. Jewelry enhances inner beauty. Style, color and proportion all help to compliment facial and body features, in fact making the necklace a true body ornament. The mixed media combinations of beads, antique pieces, treasures, relics and found objects are more varied and unlimiting than metal work alone. In my designs I try to have a balance of form, stone (many semi-precious), metal, weight, design and style, without having one component overpower another. Many times I have saved a strand of beads or centerpiece for years until I have the right "match" of color, texture, or patina of metals that can be made into the assemblage. Each designed piece is special and intimate to me, so loving and wonderful that I photograph each piece as a keepsake. It is truly art-to-wear, and, indeed, the special giftware to a loved one.
