Born in Norwich, Connecticut, Lynn Liberman began her art studies at a very early age, in the Saturday morning art classes for children at Slater Memorial Museum. She continued her studies in painting and drawing at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
.
After a period of several years, which she devoted to raising her daughter, she returned to painting and drawing, enrolling in classes at the Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts), the Woodmere Art Gallery, the Norristown Art League, and the Whitemarsh Community Art Center.
.
Ms. Liberman served on the board of the Whitemarsh Community Art Center as director of painting and is, at present, a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance and of the Plastic Club (an historic art club and workshop for art), where she serves on the admissions committee and is an active participant in its painting workshop.
