| Temple Adath Israel 50th, 1997; 56"x38"; mosaic (minerals, ceramic tile, mirror, semiprecious stones, including sodalite, tigereye, aventurine, jade, unakite, chrysocolla, blue lace agate, mahogany obsidian, jasper, abalone, galena, pyrite, mirror, rhodonite, rose quartz, amethyst, turquoise, iridescent sea shells); Temple Adath Israel, Merion, PA. This mosaic was created to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Temple Adath Israel, 1946-1996. The central image is the exterior of the synagogue, with cupola and stained glass windows. Beginning with the upper right corner and continuing clockwise, we see interior scenes of the synagogue: the sanctuary, a wedding sequence, a childrens "Shabbat King" ceremony, the chapel and the Bar Mitzvah scene with a portrait of Rabbi Frederick Kazan. |

| Temple Israel 50th, 1998; 36" x 48"; mosaic (minerals, ceramic tile, mirror, and semiprecious stones, including amythest, white quartz, pyrite, sodalite, petrified wood, chrysocolla, mirror, abalone, irridescent glass, granite, galena and unakite); Temple Israel, Swampscott, MA. The mosaic was commissioned by Temple Israel for their 50th anniversary. The inscription, LDor vDor, from generation to generation, was selected as the mosaics theme. The main section, below the inscription, illustrates the architecture of the Synagogues cupola sanctuary. This image also features a wedding ceremony taking place on the bimah. The section to the left features a Shabbat ceremony with candlesticks, kiddush and blessing over the bread. The section to the right is of a Bar Mitzvah. |

| Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1997; 24" x 24"; mosaic (minerals, ceramic tile, mirror, semiprecious stones, including pyrite, iridescent marble, white quartz, sodalite, marbles, brass, leopardskin jasper, turquoise, zosite containing granulated ruby, abalone, maraposite and granite); created for the National Headquarters, American Friends of Hebrew University, New York, NY. The mosaic is emblematic of The Hebrew University, featuring an image of the Mount Scopus campus in the middle. The perimeter of the mosaic illustrates the various schools within the university. The upper left hand corner has a representation of the caduceus, signifying the Faculty of Medicine. Moving clockwise, the sections represent: the School of Veterinary Medicine (horse, cow and dog); the Faculty of Science (atomic symbol); the Rothberg School for Overseas Students (bridge with the Hebrew quote "Da At Etzmicha," or "Know Thyself"); the Faculty of Law (scales of justice); Faculty of Humanities (synagogue ruins); the Faculty of Agriculture (landscape); an ancient map of the world with Jerusalem as its center; and the Faculty of Dental Medicine (dentist). |
